Full March

You’ll walk with a Seven Marches implementer though all seven Marches of the mPower Model, generally over the course of 12 months. In most cases, you’ll start with two dedicated days of intensive work on March 1 (Make-up), March 2 (Map) and March 3 (Momentum) to provide a game-plan and framework for moving forward. The other four Marches are introduced incrementally over the remainder of the year. In addition to live facilitation of the 2-day kickoff, we’ll also provide a weekly one-hour coaching/support session for the entire year, and full facilitation of the first three Quarterly Reset Meetings.

This might be right for you if:

  • Your assessment results indicated scores of less than 80 percent for the majority of the Marches; or

  • You like the idea of installing a “operating system” to provide more consistency, focus and clarity throughout the organization; or

  • Your organization has a new or unseasoned leader who wants to be better equipped for building and sustaining an organization

Strategic March

Your Seven Marches implementer will focus primarily on March 1 (Make-up), March 2 (Map) and March 3 (Momentum) to clarify your organizational DNA, determine your organization’s destination and create a game-plan for getting there. In addition to a two-day intensive implementation kick-off, we’ll provide weekly one-hour coaching/support sessions for the first three months, and full facilitation of the first Quarterly Reset Meeting.

This might be right for you if:

  • Your assessment results indicated scores of significantly less than 80 percent in Marches 1-3 (Make-up, Map and Momentum); or

  • You have a solid, functional team and healthy organization – but feel like you need a “North Star” to focus the organization; or

  • Your organization is small (maybe even with no full-time employees) and you need an agile and practical framework to gain momentum

Individual March

You’ll focus on one or more Marches from the mPower Model that target your organizational needs. Through a combination of practical tools and facilitator-led implementation, you’ll learn how to systematically and consistently improve the way you operate in areas such as Meeting Rhythm, Messaging, Methods (innovation, “customer” experience, etc.) or Missionaries (your “people”). We’ll provide 4-8 hours (depending on the march) of live implementation at kick-off, and four one-hour coaching/support session follow-ups to ensure you’re experiencing success.

This might be right for you if:

  • Your assessment results indicated scores of significantly less than 80 percent in one or more of Marches 4-7 (Meeting Rhythm, Messaging, Methods or Missionaries); or

  • You have a focused, clarified strategic direction – and you’re making good progress – but feel you could augment that through more effective meetings; more consistent and effective communication with stakeholders; or more innovative, customer-centric thinking; or

  • You’re looking for a system to help you consistently hire, inspire (and even fire) employees that incorporates both performance and core values

Frequently Asked Questions

+ How do you utilize technology?

Because we believe software is critical for planning, execution, collaboration and communication, ALL of our options include training and integration with Asana, a powerful and simple work and project management platform. We do require organizations to pick up the cost for the software. However, since we’ve received “Certified Pro” status, we're able to offer discounts to keep the cost low (about $10 per user/per month, or as low as $5.50 per user/per month for non-profits). We are not a "middle man" – in other words, we don't receive a cut of the costs or have any incentive to recommend Asana. We've just found it to be the best option out there.

+ What is the mPower Model?

The mPower Model is a proven system of seven modules – or marches – for faith-based organizations: non-profits such as churches and 501(c)(3) organizations, and for-profit businesses led by Christian entrepreneurs. The model translates concepts from the business world into innovative solutions for Christian organizations. Each "march" focuses on developing and documenting a key component of the organization. You can learn more here.

+ Is this a recorded video curriculum or is it live, face-to-face interaction?

Currently, all of our implementation is live – either virtually over Zoom, or in-person. We believe organizations have the best chance of success with live, real-time facilitation, coaching and support.

+ Which organizations are the best fit for Seven Marches?

Any faith-based organization that's looking to find, recover or enhance momentum can benefit from a partnership with Seven Marches. We work with Christian non-profits, churches, schools and even for-profit businesses run by Christian entrepreneuers. The partnership will be most effective when the organizational leader is willing and eager to learn new concepts and transparently apply those with his or her team.

+ Who is involved in the process?

For organizations that walk through a Full March (all seven marches) or a Strategic March (the first three marches), we'll want to include the organizational leadership team in the implementation process. Depending on your governance model, there might also be Board representation. While we'll provide suggestions for collecting feedback from others in the organization prior to beginning our work (and even facilitate that, if you'd like), we do prescribe to the "Rule of Seven" (no more than seven people) for all live implementation sessions. Research shows that the decision-making abilities of a group decrease dramatically for every person over seven.

+ What makes Seven Marches different?

We're glad you asked! Listen, we don't have anything against consulting organizations that focus on ministry "best practices" and are comprised of current and former pastors or churchworkers. In fact, we're thankful for their Kingdom impact! But we've found that true innovation and breakthrough often comes when you "mash up" different ideas and concepts. While our founder is passionate about ministry, he is a former entrepreneur and CEO and has intentionally created a model utilizing business principles and concepts.

+ How long does it take?

A Full March (all seven marches) generally takes 12 months to implement and kicks off with a two-day intensive. You'll be utilizing our most impactful principles and concepts immediately, and we'll facilite on-going weekly support sessions and Quarterly Reset meetings throughout the year. A Strategic March also generally includes a two-day intensive, and allows your team to hit the ground running within days. We'll provide weekly support throughout the first quarter to make sure you've making traction on your plans. A Single March is implemented over 4-8 hours and generally takes 2-4 weeks to master and deploy.
